6. Still Salty Farm
Our mission in starting the Salty Farm is to provide organic, plant based meals to our guests and our local community.
It is our goal to be able to sustain the total food consumption of our business from the Salty Farm in the next 5 years.
As we wait patiently for tiny seeds to turn into little sprouts, and little sprouts grow into small trees- we nurture our farm with both organic fertilizer and a whole lot of love.
The Salty Farm is available for tours, work-trade, and harvest.
We also donate food to families in the community when needed, and plan to provide a section of the land to schools in the area for education purposes.
MR. MELVIN
Mr. Melvin is the green thumb behind our Salty Farm.
Prior to our purchase of the farm, he was tending to the area himself simply out of pleasure for working with the land.
He has a way with understanding the earth that can’t quite be described. We gave him full reign of the farm, and he’s taken off with it.
Melvin is a joyous, heartfelt man who’s incredibly connected to nature’s rhythms and cycles.
Although he spends majority of his time at the Salty Farm, you’ll also see him around Still Salty Escape maintaining our gardens and training with our permaculture expert on site. -give back
